FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: 1st Shift Details:Start and end times will vary for this position. Shifts begin as earlyas 7:30am and end as late as 5:30pm. Worked shift will be 8 hours a day,Monday through Friday. Travel to one of our satellite clinics, WestbrookHealth Center, will be required for this position. Job Summary: Theophthalmic photographer assists the ophthalmologists in the performanceof eye examinations by using a variety of photographic equipment. Thephotographer duties include anterior and posterior segment clinicalophthalmic imaging, research participation, preparing patients forimaging, and troubleshooting equipment problems. Testing includes but isnot limited to OCT, fundus photography, fluorescein and ICG angiography,slit lamp biomicroscopy, and ultrasonography. Other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of cameras and photographic techniques andprocesses is required. Knowledge of medical and ophthalmologicterminology is required. A minimum of 2 years of general medicalphotography or 1 year experience in ophthalmic photography is preferred.EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. LICENSURE: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for theHealthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is requiredwithin 90 days of hire into this role. Current CRA or OCT-C orworking towards certification is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced proficiencyin Word and Excel. Experience with reporting and analytics preferred.Demonstrates an understanding of DEA regulations and controlledsubstance ordering requirements.
