Wichita State University Foundation and Alumni Engagement (WSUFAE) is looking to hire a passionate, detail-oriented, dedicated, and self-motivated individual as the Staff Accountant on our finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and reporting scholarship funds, supporting financial operations, and contributing to the overall stewardship of donor resources. The job duties for this position include:Scholarship Fund Compliance, Audit & ReviewReview, reconcile, and record scholarship fund activity to ensure compliance with donor intents and with internal policies, university policies, and local and state regulations. Assist in maintaining accurate records of scholarship awards and providing fast and accurate disbursements gathering information about the status of the funds disseminating complete guidelines to appropriate internal and campus personnel. Prepare internal audit reports for management. Work closely with financial aid, campus administrators, development team members, and other team members to verify and proactively ensure proper fund usage. Account SetupReview documentation forms and set up new funds in Raisers Edge and Financial EdgeProvide support on fund guidelines and status inquiries from development staff. Disseminate completed guidelines to appropriate campus personnel. Financial Closing & ReportingAssist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.Assist in preparing documentation for audits and financial reporting. Ensure proper classification and recording of financial transactions Accounts Payable & Gift ProcessingProvide backup assistance for accounts payable, including invoice processing and vendor payments.Support gift processing functions by ensuring accurate and timely recording of donations.Assist with reconciling donor contributions and fund allocations. Perform any other duties as assigned.
