Junior Virtualization/Network Engineer

Sev1Tech is seeking a Junior Virtualization/Network Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems.Other duties as assigned by management.Bachelor’s degree in EngineeringActive Top Secret Level Clearance6 months of experience as System EngineerWindows Server OS Basics: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and/or ServerBasic Networking: IP addresses, DNS, and how network issues affect virtual desktopsTroubleshooting skills: use log files, event history, and version control to trace issuesEquipment installation including superb cable managementAvailable to Travel up to 60 days per year / several week-long tripsIndividual shall be working towardthe relevant certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties: Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification: Microsoft role-based certificationsMicrosoft Certified Applicable Developer (MCAD)Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP)CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP)Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)VMWare Certified Professional (VCP)Cloud certifications, etc.Welcome to Sev1Tech!
