OP- Substation- Crowell, TXOperator operates various pieces of equipment and performs work associated with electrical distribution systems as directed by Foreman.Reasonable Accommodations Statement To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Comply with safetypractices, rules, and regulations while performing job duties and followcompany procedure in reporting unsafe conditions or practices.Safely drive and operate companyvehicles, digger derrick, backhoes, boom and pole trucks, fork lift, and safelyoperate power tools.Facilitate alignment,movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.Verify propergrounding of truck.Assist in performing maintenance as needed.Assist with washingand maintaining equipment in proper working order.Assist with cleaningprotective equipment (hot sticks and rubber goods) and keep PPE in goodcondition.Be in close proximityof work area to anticipate the needs of the crew, prepare tools and operateequipment for crew members for the particular work being performed.Load, unload, oridentify building materials, machinery, or tools.Assist in the makeready process for the job task, frame poles on the ground, dig pole holes, set poles or pull wire.Keep work areas cleanand organized. Pick up scrap wire,discarded materials, etc.Safely control trafficpassing near, in, or around work zones.Keep unauthorizedpeople away from work area.Shovel workWork as a team and fulfill any andall other duties and tasks as assigned.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 6 month’s experience in related fieldAvailable to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays, as neededPossess a valid CDL-B licenseAbility to operateheavy equipmentAbility to handle physically demanding construction duties in harsh weather conditionsAbility to lift aminimum of 50 lbsAbility to communicatewell with othersAbility to assist with maintenance of equipment, as neededDesired Skills and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDChain Electric Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
