Specifically, theMachine OperatorIIisresponsible forprogramming andoperating industrial equipment and machinery such as a laser machine, press brake, structural steel rolling machine, CNC milling machine etc. in accordance with company procedures.Operatorwillfollow ablueprint toprogramthe machine.Operatorwillbe capable ofplacingproductionpart intomachine,cyclethe equipment andretrievethe part.Employeeisresponsible for visually inspecting parts.OtherResponsibilities:Setting up machines at the beginning ofshiftto ensure proper workingorderMaintaining and cleaning machines before and after each shiftMonitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum runningTroubleshoot problems during machine operationEnsure stocks/inventoryof needed materialsare ready and available at all timesProvide relevant information regarding progress to supervisorsFollowsall plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures. Also, be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe workareaProperly use personal protective equipment when requiredNotify supervisors/leads of problems that may occurwith equipment or part qualityOther activities may include but are not limitedto:cutting, sawing, drilling,tapping,grinding, prepping kits andlay-outsto meet customerspecificationsMaintain regular attendance - have reliable means of transportationPerformothertasks as assignedPrior manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Any technical or vocational education/trainingin relation to skills listed below is alsodesirable.Must haveadvancedblueprint reading knowledgeand theability to follow the work order instructionsFamiliar withAutoCAD2D desirableForklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred (in-house training available)Mustbe able to pass a background check andpre employmentdrug testTeamplayer- must be able to work with others assigned tomachineMust have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goalsAttentive to detail watching for materialdefects and any quality issuesAdaptable to changing demandsPhysically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching and twisting throughoutshiftCapableofrepetitively lifting 25-50 lbs.Candidates must be flexibleto workovertime as needed, which may include weekends and/orholidaysWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee works intypicalmanufacturing environment with overhead cranes and forklifts.Overhead LED lights throughout the workspace create a bright workspace for employees to safely perform their work.Normallycleanwork environment where the process creates somegrinding dust, heat/cold, fumes/odors,andvibration.Housekeeping is performed as needed throughout the day and at the end of each shift.The noise level in the work environmentis normaltomanufacturing processes with air tools, grinders, and other tools. Yearly audiometric testing is provided by the company to monitor areas for improvement.Non-climate-controlled facility in the summer, each work area is provided with fans to help keep cool.
