Join our Major Case Unit as a Senior Liability Adjuster, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing high-stakes commercial general liability claims involving litigation and exposures that exceed policy limits.Key Responsibilities:Expertly handle large and catastrophic losses, ensuring thorough investigations and effective resolutions.Analyze construction contracts and insurance policiesto identify coverage issues and risk transfer strategies.Proactively negotiate claimsto achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.Investigate losseswith a keen eye for detail, identifying covered and uncovered claims.Collaborate with panel counselto develop robust litigation plans and defend our insureds.Review evidence, reports, and medical recordsto build strong cases.Establish indemnity and expense reserveswith precision.Process paymentsefficiently and accurately.Conduct interviewswith insureds, claimants, and witnesses to gather crucial information.Minimum 10 years of prior experience adjusting CGL and BOP liability claimsAt least 5 years of experience adjusting New York Labor Law claims with an exposure of $500,000 or moreBachelor's degree required; Attorney license preferredAbility to understand coverageAnalyze policies of insurance and relevant contracts to address priority of coverage and explore risk transfer strategiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and computer skillsExcellent time management skills with the ability to prioritizeOccasional travel to hearings, mediations, trials, and conferences
