This is an opportunity to join Westwood’s highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.Our ideal candidate will have 10+ years of water/wastewater design and project management experience supporting water/wastewater design projects. This position is responsible for complex engineering design tasks as well as marketing, business development, client contact and growth of a water/wastewater design team.Manage the design and delivery of projects in a profitable mannerOversee the technical aspects of various projectsSupervise the work of engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the projectDevelop project work plans and budget projections and effectively deploy resourcesReview, interpret and act on business metrics, including utilization, backlog, work in process and account receivablesPrepare, maintain and coordinate schedules of multiple concurrent projectsDevelop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget deliveryComplete monthly project accounting and invoicingImplement and maintain QA/QC proceduresParticipate in contract bidding, provide limited observation during construction, review submittals and RFIsResolve design conflicts and field construction issuesRepresent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agenciesWrite proposals and participate and/or lead interviewsGrow, mentor and train staffBuild relationships internally and externally with clients and strategic partnersLead business development activitiesEnsures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.Lead by example - display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalismOutgoing, friendly, approachableExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to manage staff and direct resources effectivelyAbility to effectively communicate at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to manage water/wastewater design projects in a profitable mannerUnderstanding of alternative delivery methodsExtensive knowledge of conveyance and storage designsBS in Civil EngineeringLicensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in Arizona (or capable of obtaining within 6 months)10+ years of progressive experience in water/watewater designThis position may require travel to project sites and other Westwood offices throughout the United StatesAt Westwood, our purpose is to create a better world for people through our work.
