Machinist

Our client, a leader in automotive manufacturing, is seeking a Machinist to join their dedicated team. As a Machinist, you will be an integral part of the Operations department supporting manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Machinist Location: Costa Mesa, CA Pay Range: $27-$30 Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM, with possible overtime and weekend work as required What's the Job? + Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for efficiency and quality. + Assist maintenance personnel with diagnosing and correcting machine tool geometry concerns using inspection data. + Follow production schedules, verify machine configurations, tooling, and fixtures to meet quality and efficiency targets. + Load castings and raw materials onto designated pallets for 5-axis CNC machining in an automated environment, following SOPs and drawing instructions. + Perform daily maintenance activities on CNC machines, including cleaning, coolant checks, and recording activities accurately. What's Needed? + High School diploma or equivalent; AA Degree or trade school study relevant to CNC manufacturing is preferred. + Knowledge of 5-axis CNC machine controls (Heidenhain, Mazatrol experience preferred). + 5+ years of experience in a dynamic, close-tolerance CNC manufacturing environment, including machine operation, programming, and tooling. + Strong understanding of CNC cutting tools and G & M code programming techniques. + Ability to read detailed blueprints with advanced GD&T experience and operate various measuring equipment.
