Staff Accountant

Description Staff Accountant opportunity available with reputable Deer Park company. Privately held company seeks a bright, eager Staff level individual to join an established team, and positive work culture. This in-office role will offer you the opportunity to hone your accounting skills in a mentoring environment and learn from a terrific management team. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial data. u2022 Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support financial reporting processes. u2022 Review and analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance. u2022 Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and present financial data effectively. u2022 Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings to meet reporting deadlines. u2022 Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures throughout all financial operations. u2022 Collaborate with team members to support audits and other financial reviews. u2022 Monitor and resolve accounting issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency. u2022 Provide support for special projects and financial initiatives as required Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledgers. u2022 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis tools. u2022 Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. u2022 Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
