Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves overseeing financial operations, guiding the accounting team, and driving process improvements to ensure efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a collaborative approach to support the organization's goals. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead the evaluation and enhancement of month-end close procedures and reporting workflows. u2022 Provide guidance and mentorship to the accounting team to optimize performance and accuracy. u2022 Assess current financial systems and processes, recommending improvements to streamline operations. u2022 Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and systems. u2022 Prepare and analyze financial reports to support strategic decision-making. u2022 Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manage and present financial data effectively. u2022 Monitor compliance and ensure adherence to established accounting standards and practices. u2022 Support system implementation and conversion efforts to align with organizational needs. u2022 Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and implement best practices in financial management. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in financial leadership roles, particularly as a Controller. u2022 Expertise in monthly close processes and financial reporting. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software systems and system implementation. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting. u2022 Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate processes for optimization. u2022 Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams. u2022 Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance. u2022 Experience in driving system conversions and technology adoption.
