Our client, a boutique Public Accounting Firm in Orleans, seeks a detail-driven Bookkeeper to join their team. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy, managing transactions, and supporting the firm's clients and growth initiatives. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Perform bank, credit card, and remittance reconciliations (HST/QST/EHT/WSIB) Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections Manage payroll processing and source deductions Handle payments, petty cash, and related transactions Liaise with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) on tax-related matters Assist with year-end accounting procedures Gather information for audits and collaborate with auditors Perform various accounting tasks as needed Required skills and qualifications: Completion of an Accounting Diploma is considered an asset Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a small business or public accounting firm Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) is essential, with experience in Xero, Sage, and Caseware considered an asset Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with bilingualism considered an asset Strong computer literacy, including effective working skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
