University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Pediatrics: Pediatrics: Genetics Salary Range or Pay Grade $120,000 - $140,000 Description The Division of Clinical Genetics seeks a part-time (0.50 FTE) Medical Geneticist to provide outstanding patient care, teach learners across levels, and contribute to divisional programs that span pediatric, adult, cancer, and metabolic genetics. Our service includes a NYS-designated Clinic of Inborn Metabolic Disorders, an active inpatient consult service, and collaborative programs (e.g., Ocular Genetics, Craniofacial Genetics), with robust education (including an MS in Genetic Counseling) and opportunities for clinical or laboratory research. u00b7 Faculty appointment at the Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor level, commensurate with experience. u00b7 Part-time schedule (0.50 FTE) with services primarily Januaryu2013September, combining in-person clinics in Rochester with telemedicine (from within New York State) and defined on-site call weeks; maintain Strong Memorial Hospital medical staff appointment and clinical privileges. u00b7 Inclusive of teaching responsibilities for medical students, residents, fellows, and MSGC students; participation in divisional/departmental activities. Qualifications u00b7 MD/DO (or MD-PhD) with board certification/eligibility in Medical Genetics (Clinical Genetics and/or Clinical Biochemical Genetics); eligible for New York licensure. u00b7 Maintenance of certification in Pediatrics (ABP) and Clinical Genetics (ABMGG); ability to obtain/maintain hospital privileges and payer enrollments. u00b7 Demonstrated excellence in clinical genetics; commitment to education, professionalism, and the Medical Centeru2019s ICARE values. u00b7 Comfort with telemedicine from a residence within New York State (remote clinical work from outside approved U.S. jurisdictions is not permitted).
