Under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations, the Maintenance Engineer will perform modifications and alterations in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishing work.A caregiver in this position worksdays, 7:00am—3:30pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Modify/alter electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishing plete routine plete work order plete routine inspections of the hospital and complete a daily log form.Assist with hospital inventory and maintain departmental supplies.Occasionally be required to transport patients to/from the hospital to Main Campus.Other duties as assigned.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Trade school diplomaOR High School diploma and three years of building trade experienceUnderstands the age-specific developmental stages of patients served by the Hospital and demonstrate the ability to interact appropriately with patients of all ages when necessarySpecific trade license/certification and/or specific training through education and/or equivalent on-the-job experienceThe license/certification must be renewed annually or as required by the licensing/certification agencyMust participate in continuing education activities as required to maintain license/certification or to keep current in the trade specified.Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:3 years of experience in general healthcare building maintenanceHVAC experienceOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
