Note: Due to in-market supportneeds, the ideal candidate will reside in or is willing to relocate tothe following Wisconsin counties: Dane, Rock, Walworth or Jefferson. TheOutside Plant Construction Specialist II is responsible forcoordinating, planning, and supervising outside plant field constructionand splicing operations in multiple locations. Depending upon workloadthis person may be required to supervise consulting resources in theengineering and/or construction phase of the projects. The successfulcandidate is expected to work independently with representatives fromnetwork operations, associate managers, consultants, design engineersand construction contractors for TDS Telecom Network Services to ensurethat the needs of the company are being met. The successful candidatewill be responsible for the implementation of fiber networks whileconforming to existing TDS Outside Plant (OSP) guidelines and TDS OSPstandards established for the Telecom Network Services. The successfulcandidate is expected to stay current with National Electrical SafetyCode (NESC) and ensure our construction is always in compliance withNESC standards. Depending on the area, the Outside Plant ConstructionSpecialist IImay be required to assist in the engineering of the OSPprojects. This involves, among other things, creating the labor,material, and overhead project estimates. The Outside Plant ConstructionSpecialist II is expected to oversee numerous construction projects,possibly located in multiple locations.
