Neighborhood Navigator

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of Fitchburg is seeking a dedicated andcommunity-focused individual to join our team as a NeighborhoodNavigator for the Leopold Early Childhood Zone (ECZ). This role isessential in fostering connections between families and vital communityresources within the Leopold area. As the direct point of contact forresidents, the Neighborhood Navigator will work closely withindividuals, groups, and organizations to facilitate communication,encourage collaboration, and organize community events. Key areas offocus include early childhood development, mental and physical health,food security, public safety, employment, education, childcare,transportation, and neighborhood programming. Key Responsibilities: Actas a liaison between Leopold area residents and social serviceproviders, Leopold Elementary School, faith-based organizations, Citydepartments, and other community agencies. Organize and promotecommunity events and programs that meet the needs and interests of localresidents. Conduct outreach to connect individuals and families withresources such as food, clothing, housing, meal programs, earlychildhood education, and more. Advocate for residents' needs andcollaborate with various stakeholders to support community well-beingand enhance the quality of life. Ideal Candidate Profile: The idealcandidate will have a strong understanding of Fitchburg's Leopoldcommunity and be passionate about connecting people with resources thatempower and support them. They should be knowledgeable about localservices and able to work collaboratively with residents and serviceproviders to help families thrive. OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with general life experiences and culturalbackgrounds of Leopold ECZ residents.
