Material Handler l

As a Material Handler I, you’ll be responsible for maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in the warehouse and recording locations of inventory. The Material Handler I is also responsible for unloading inbound and loading outbound loads while also confirming accuracy. The Material Handler I is expected to be proactive and have the ability to perform their work at a high level with minimum supervision.Responsible for following all safety activity in compliance with Rain Bird Safety Standards and ProgramsLocate, verify, and supply production with requested materials needed for shiftReceive, verify, and document incoming raw material for quantity and ID accuracyResponsible for racking raw materials into warehouse locations and performing all transfers into the systemResponsible for staging and shipping finished goods pallets to the Steele DCResponsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of warehousePerform inventory counts for Cycle Count ProgramPerform warehouse rack audits on bi-weekly basisProvide important communication and updates through emailHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent Forklift (stand-up/sit-down) and power carts certificationHas worked a minimum of 10 months in a warehouse setting in the past two yearsProficient in software programs such as Word and ExcelProven track record with attendance and reliable transportationExcellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and work within deadlinesWorking in a distribution center and or warehouseDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in Barcode scanner system use and implementationOracle based ERP systemExperience in warehousing and/or material planning operationsKnowledge of inventory management systemsOTHER INFORMATION: The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking and have a can - do attitude.
