Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Company and Finance Department through weekly and monthly business reporting and analysis, assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and budgeting process, and utilizing financial and operational modeling to analyze business trends. This position works closely with all departments in the Company, providing analytical support for strategic business decisions. We foster a culture built around our Foundation Principles, which define how we approach our relationships with our employees, vendors, customers and communities and influence every aspect of our business.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupports all aspects of the monthly, quarterly and annual planning and forecasting process, including preparation of the income statement, forecasting line items, and maintaining forecasting systemsSupports evaluation of financial scenarios to support forecasts, investor discussions, as well as ad hoc requestsSupports board meeting preparations including preparing financial information decks, real estate decks, and revenue projection modeling Assists in maintaining long range strategic forecastsCreates and maintains financial and operational models to support and forecast numerous aspects of the business, i.e. forecasting sales scenarios, operational payroll in stores and profitability of potential marketing offersProvides analytical support for special projects and strategic business decisionsGenerates weekly and monthly reports with partnership from multiple departments that analyze actual and forecasted trends Helps maintain and enhance the Adaptive Planning financial forecasting systemConsistently arrives promptly to work the assigned scheduleResponsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer informationPerforms other requested tasks and dutiesExperience and Skills RequiredCollege degree required, preferably with concentration in Finance or Accounting2-4 years in financial field or budgeting, forecasting and strategic analysis; retail experience preferredStrong understanding of corporate financial planning & analysisSolid understanding of accountingStrong Microsoft Excel skills including vlookup/index match, pivot tables, and ability to write macros as well as a desire to become an expert modelerStrong Microsoft PowerPoint skills, must be able to interpret complex concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand graphs, charts, and visual graphics. Experience with Microstrategy, Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence tool, Adaptive Planning, SQL, Alteryx, Python, and Multiview a plus Ability to travel 5% a year, based on the business needsBased in Dallas/Ft.
