When you join Lewis, you're not just taking a job — you're investing in your future.Why You’ll Love It Here- Experience the great outdoors while working in nature, not stuck behind a desk!- Elevate your career with us — we prioritize training and internal promotions!- Join a vibrant team that champions safety, values your feedback, and fosters a strong sense of camaraderie!- Shape your future with us through our fantastic Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)!What You’ll Do as a Billing SpecialistAs a Billing Specialist at Lewis Services, you’ll:Verify and analyze weekly payroll data to ensure accuracyAnalyze timesheets, including revenue and equipment usageDistribute information to field personnel as it relates to their area of responsibilityWork closely with Revenue Cycle Specialists to resolve problems impacting employees, customers, or internal teamsProduce timely and accurate customer invoices according to contract requirementsProcess requested reports accurately and efficientlyReview files and documents to retrieve and reconcile invoices, data, and reportsComplete accurate and efficient data entryAssist with the development and implementation of improved billing processesEnsure billing functions are completed accurately within deadlines and per customer contract termsReport on outstanding account statuses to supervisorsTrain new employees on billing systems (ERP, data collection tools, Tiempo)Create, review, and reconcile billing of utilitiesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a positive partner experiencePerform other duties as assignedWhat You BringHigh school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree preferred)2+ years of experience in accounting, billing, or a related fieldStrong communication skills with attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP or accounting softwareStrong business sense and ability to work in a high-volume transaction environmentEffective problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong typing, grammar, spelling, math, and computer skillsPreferred:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldExperience with customer billing in utilities, construction, or service-based environmentsBilingual (Spanish - written and spoken)Physical DemandsAbility to:Sit at a desk for extended periods of timeUse hands and fingers to operate office equipment and perform filing tasksReach with hands and arms to access files and lower cabinetsOccasionally lift and move items up to 25 lbsContinuously - Sitting, communicating, using computersFrequently - Reaching, filing, typingOccasionally - Lifting, bending, kneelingRarely - Exposure to outdoor conditionsNever - Confined spacesEnvironmental ConditionsRegularly - Office environment with moderate noise levelOccasionally - Interaction with field and operations teamsRarely - Outdoor exposure or temperature extremesTools & EquipmentYou’ll work with:Computers, phones, scanners, copiers, and standard office equipmentMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)ERP and accounting systemsWhat We OfferNon-Union Benefits:Competitive pay $19.39 - $26.34Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Paid training and certificationsHealth, dental, vision & HSA options401(k) +Paid time off and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Our DEI CommitmentOur commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is key to the success of our business.
