Sign-on Bonus Now Being Offered to Eligible New Hires!**University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 180 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.University Radiology is looking for a full-time Generalist for our busy, high-volume Patient Financial Services Department at our East Brunswick, NJ Business Office.Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pmThe responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Correct and resubmit claims to third party payersAccurately scan hard copy EOBs and correspondenceAccurately enter denial codes into billing systemAccurately enter and/or update patient demographics, insurance information and any other information that may resolve the accountHandle correspondence daily, including entering insurance denialsProvides receptionist switchboard coverage as needed, utilizing multi line phone systemCross train with business support team to assist with both outgoing and incoming mailPrint and mail radiology reports and claim forms as neededUpload radiology reports and supporting documentation to payer portals as neededAssist collectors and managers with payer projects as neededComply with established policies and procedure, objectives, HIPAA and safety standardsThe following skills are required to be successful in this role:Must be able to work in a high volume, fast pace work environmentAbility to work independently with limited supervisionSelf-motivated - show interest to self-improveMust be able to work as part of a team therefore maintain a professional and positive work environment, including healthy work relationships with coworkers, strong moral beliefs and share positive energyAbility to learn quickly and accurately and toggle to and from different host and billing systemsUtilize basic office technology ie scanner, copier, PC, printerUnderstand the impact of their role as it related to the individuals job function(s) on the organizationEffective at meetings - providing feedback, ideas and suggestions to improve the office day to day and moraleKnowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Work, Excel, Outlook)Strong organizational and time management skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Work, Excel, Outlook)General knowledge of medical terminologyStrong organizational and time management skills2+ years’ experience in medical field and/or clerical positionExceptional attention to detailUniversity Radiology offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental and life insurance, 401k/pension, and profit-sharing plans, generous paid time off policy and more.
