As a Master Scheduler for a systems engineering contract, your role is to ensure that the project is fully captured in the IMS while integrating with agile methodology, to the required performance specifications by proactively managing uncertainties. This role requires a strong understanding of scheduling best practices, technical project execution, and contractual obligations.Build and maintain a program-level IMS, comprised of multiple sub projects, which includes major milestones and deliverables with projected start dates, due dates, schedule status, assigned resources, priorities of work and alignment to Contractor's Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS)Coordinate and maintain an integrated project schedule that aligns with agile release train storiesDevelop the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)Coordinate the IMS with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)Lead cross functional team members in the definition of project tasks, establish task durations, define relationships, impose constraints, collect weekly statusPropose processes that will aid Integrated Scheduling and understand the impacts of any changes to program deliveryDevelop process, procedures, and strategy for implementing scheduling best practicesTrack the critical path in program activities, associated risks, and recommended mitigations in requested schedule and risk reviewsExperience using Microsoft Project to develop high level schedules and graphics utilizing Excel or Power BI to deliver to senior leaders and stakeholdersAbility to facilitate client-facing meetings to review the IMS and discuss potential schedule slips and mitigation plansExcellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic.Ability to identify, track, and integrate risks into the IMSLeverages comprehensive metrics, customer and stakeholder feedback to assess program performance and risks and recommends resources and actions to ensure mission successLeads after-action reviews, leverages performance benchmarking, and introduces best practices; conducts root cause analysis and develops disposition and corrective and preventive actions for recurring discrepanciesRequired:Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD; 12 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Proven experience with Risk ManagementWorking knowledge of industry standardsAbility to facilitate face-to-face meetings and brief the highest levels of the Government Customer PMO and the Program SponsorMust have excellent communication and written skillsMust demonstrate ability to work independentlyMust possess an Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibilityMust have excellent MS Project and Excel skillsDesired:Desired Experience leading Gate Reviews and conducting Risk-based Process EvaluationsDesired ITIL certificationDesired PMP certificationPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
