Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description The primary role of a Warehouse Worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Responsibilities + Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer. + Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. + Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. + Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. + Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. + Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. + Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. + Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. + Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers. + Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. Essential Skills + Verbal and written communication skills. + Analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Team player and detail-oriented. + Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations. Work Environment The work environment is a warehouse setting, requiring physical tasks such as standing for at least 8 hours, pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation. Shift schedules are flexible, including early morning and late evening shifts, offering a chance to work according to your preferred hours. Proficiency in English is required to ensure effective communication and safety compliance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of NA, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
