Location This position can be based in either our Woodcliff Lake, NJ or Waltham, MA office hub and will require extensive travel across the region. Candidates who are only looking for remote work, or unwilling to travel will not be considered. Responsibilities u2022 Lead the environmental compliance & permitting for the construction operations. u2022 Identify, assess and reduce environmental risks to the company. u2022 Update environnemental plans. u2022 Perform and oversee field inspections and monitoring (water quality, underwater noise etc.). u2022 Identify wetland and sensitive environmental areas for protection and fencing in advance of construction activities. u2022 Maintaining project data tracking requirements. u2022 Monitor, forecast and communicate environmental costs at the project level. u2022 Develop and conduct environmental protection and awareness training to staff at all levels. u2022 Function as a principal technical advisor and coordinator for environmental issues. u2022 Coordinate with relevant crews on their work locations, material needs, quantities and invoices. u2022 Interpret and apply environmental specifications and drawings avoiding and minimizing adverse effects to the natural environment and local communities. u2022 Prepare project and Kiewit required reports and communication of environmental risks to project management. u2022 Attend field visits with Client and regulatory agencies. u2022 Liaise with the client providing them design information, schedule details, quantities etc. ensuring they are aware of any unanticipated discoveries, critical permitting and compliance issues. Qualifications u2022 Minimum undergraduate degree in an environmental health or engineering field. u2022 10+ years' experience managing design and construction environmental compliance for large scale construction projects (OGC or EPC experience would be ideal). u2022 Qualified Environmental Professional designation is preferred. u2022 Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal environmental legislation. u2022 Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative. u2022 Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time. u2022 Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity. u2022 Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt. u2022 Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. u2022 Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives. u2022 Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail. #LI-TD28 Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
