JOB REQUIREMENTS: Big news We're opening a new location in Verona in2026, and this one's going to have a bar We're looking for anexperienced bar pro to help us dream it up, get it rolling, and thenlead the way once we open. Just like our other spots, we'll be servingup affordable, craft-quality pizza - and this time with an expanded barto go with it. This isn't your typical 'Bar Manager' gig... it'sway more fun. You'll get to dive into restaurant operations while alsopouring pints, slinging slices, and keeping the Ian's Vibe alivefor everyone who walks by or walks in: guests, teammates, doggievisitors, the beer delivery guy, even window shoppers. Why Ian's Pizza?Minimum Guarantee of $21.50/hour: At the end of the pay period, if yourbase wage ($16.50/hour + $2/hour additional for any time after 10pm)and tips have not averaged to at least $21.50/hour, we will pay therest. You are guaranteed to earn at least $21.50/hour, but you can earnmore than that Most Department Managers average $21.50-$24.50/hour.Tips are paid at the end of each shift, and all other wages are paid onyour paycheck (biweekly). Additionally, any work above 40 hours a weekis paid as overtime, and you are also eligible for the annualprofit-sharing bonus. BarManager Job Duties and Expectations As the Bar Manager, your main job isto ensure the successful and efficient operation of your department Youassist the GM and AGM(s) in ensuring the tools and procedures are inplace and used by all department staff for successful operations.Training the general staff in your department and doing their reviewswill also be a large part of your role You will be expected to provideinput on staffing, staff performance, and scheduling. Additionally, thebar manager will be responsible for product ordering and maintenance, abasic knowledge of craft beers and liquor. Must have a goodunderstanding of drinks, understanding of how to craft originalcocktails is a bonus but not required While Managers are heavilyinvolved in the operations of their department, they also have someadministrative duties, including staff and management meetings,responding to staff messages, working on projects as assigned/approvedby the GM or AGM(s), etc. Bar Manager Requirements 1+ years ofexperience as a Supervisor or Shift Leader in the food and beverageindustry. 2+ years of bar-specific experience as a bartender, bar lead,bar trainer, or bar manager. Must have a valid Operator's License(bartending license) or able to renew or get license upon hire.Cross-trained and regularly able to perform all general staff positionswithin the restaurant and bar (Front of House, Kitchen, and Shift Lead)within 6 months. Must complete a food safety certificationcourse within 6 months. Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Tobend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. To use ovens, pizza cutters, andother equipment of the business. Ability to use or learn to useadministrative tools such as Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Sheets, etc.English language proficiency is required. Bilingual in Spanish is amajor plus Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant for avariety of shift times, including mornings, afternoons, and nights. Mustbe 18 years of age or older to apply. Any work above 40 hours a week is paid asovertime. Your schedule is posted 2-4 weeks at a time, depending onlocation. The Bar Manager forms part of the Department Manager team,which also includes a Front of House Manager, Kitchen Manager, andDelivery Manager. All Department Managers are expected to work weeklyManager on Duty shifts that span the operations of the bar andrestaurant. Weekend and evening availability is required We'replanning to be open for lunch and dinner daily.
