We are offering competitive wages, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive environment with an empathic and positive Management team.About the Role:The Oncology Assistant supports the Oncologist and Technicians to provide safe and efficient treatments for animals receiving care. They help facilitate the treatment of animals in Oncology by assisting in procedures, chemotherapy, and pensation:$18 - $22 depending on experienceAnticipated Schedule:Full TimeMonday - Friday 8am-4pmEssential Job Functions:Performs animal restraintHelp admit chemotherapy patientsPerform TPR accuratelyAssist the Technician in chemotherapy drug administrationPerform blood work (procyte, chemistry, sedivue, lacuna, assist with send out)StockingCleaning/disinfecting after chemotherapy administrationCleaning exam rooms after examsPrepares for procedures and anticipates the needs of the departmentAssist Technicians in CT's, radiographs, and a variety of other proceduresAdministration of oral, IM, SQ medications and SQ fluids under the supervision of a Technician Filling of prescriptionsOther duties as directedSupports other areas and departments as needed.
