Director of Nursing

The Director of Nursing is an RN who is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in the Skilled Nursing facility. This role is also responsible for promoting compliance with regulations and guidelines.As a motivational leader this individual supervises and coordinates resident assessments, medications, safety procedures, and department budgets.What do we do?La Posada is a Luxurious 5 Star Senior Living community located in Palm Beach Gardens FL. We specialize in full service, private pay senior living communities that offer an enriched lifestyle for seniors.What will I do every day?Supervises direct nursing care in the Skilled NursingAdministers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated.Makes routine rounds to assure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment.CMS / AHCA ComplianceAssures accuracy and completeness of medical records.Coordinates, conducts, and documents the MDS, resident care plans and conference in the absence of the MDS nurse.Supervises nursing personnel on all shifts. Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of nursing staff.Assists with orientation and training of nursing personnel.Address all Risk Management concerns.Participates in family/resident counseling.Responds to emergency calls as necessary.Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to resident careSome “on call” is required including weekends on call rotationOther duties as neededWhat will I need to be successful in this role?A passion for excellenceThree to five years of supervisory experienceExperience in working with seniors preferredExperience as a Wellness Director, Resident Care Director or Skilled Nursing DirectorWhat’s in it for me?
