Job Description

The Adult Sports Coordinator II provides outstanding customer service, guidance, and leadership to all members and participants within the scope of the program of oversight. The Coordinator willoversee Ecke's adult sports league programs including arena soccer, softball and basketball. The Coordinator is reserved for a large branch with oversight to multiple programs/departments simultaneously. The Coordinator supervises a minimum of (20) twenty program staffand performs administrative duties to assist leadership in smooth operation of the department.For information on Y Employee Perks, click on this link:Employee Benefits | YMCA of San Diego County (ymcasd.org)Schedule - Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA - Encinitas Evening schedule, Monday - FridayCoordinates the organization and implementation of program details Assist in purchasing and reconciliation of program expensesAssists with the recruitment and hiring of program staff and volunteersProvide office support and perform other related duties, as neededHelp maintain participant data and oversee program registrationFollow and maintain standards, guidelines, objectives, and goals of the assigned YMCAManage staff schedules and reconciliation of timecards for program staffAbility to adequately observe participant and member activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and proceduresAddress program concerns and ensure safety of program participants and staffParticipate as a team player to ensure that the YMCA image and mission statement are upheldOther duties as assignedMinimum 5+ years’ of experience in customer servicePrevious supervisor experience, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, and monitoringMust obtain and maintain all applicable certifications for the position, if neededProficient in computer and office administration skillsLicensing, state law and our government funders require that staff within YMCA of San Diego County be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and includesubsequentarrest notificationsCPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within30 daysofhireand must be from one of the following certifying organizations:American Red CrossAmerican Heart AssociationAmerican Safety & Health InstituteYMCA will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the San Diego County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act.
