Schedule set upon hiring.Compensation: Pay range from $40-$50 per hour, depending on nursing and dialysis experience; experience preferredBenefits:Paid training with preceptorCharge nurse continuing education classesComprehensive medical, dental and vision benefitsLife and long-term disability insurance provided at no additional expense to employeePaid time off (PTO) including holidaysExtended Sick Bank (ESB) in addition to PTO - paid time for doctor appointments, sickness or medical leaveRetirement plans with $.50 of each contributed dollar matched for eligible employees, up to 8 percentEducation reimbursementEmployee assistance programWellness programAmong othersWhat You Can Expect:Obtain and review all new patient information and consent forms before initial treatmentAssist and oversee patient care staff in initiating, monitoring and terminating dialysis treatments as neededCoordinate patient scheduling with nurse manager, maximizing resources to align patient needs with staff capabilities and experienceManage clinic operation following safety and staffing guidelines in absence of managerCommunicate patient status to physician; implement and document ordersParticipate in patient care conferences, medical rounds and chart review; document progress notesContribute to risk management, QAPI and infection control committeesSupervise initial and ongoing patient educationReview and document patient education to ensure compliance with ESRD Network, regulatory agencies, DCI’s CQI Program and individual clinic requirementsManage monthly patient lab work in accordance with clinic policies and protocolsOversee primary nursing teams and non-licensed staff for completion of assignmentsSupport training of new staff members as directed and supervised by the education coordinator, the clinical supervisor and/or the nurse managerProvide feedback and assist the nurse manager with staff performance reviewsFunctions as expert resource for clinical staffSuccessful Candidates Bring:Excellent communication skillsDemonstrated clinical proficiencyDesire to collaborate with care teamsEstablished leadership skillsAbility to problem solveEducation/Training:Current NVRN licenseOne year of dialysis nursing experience requiredSupervisory experience preferredDCI’s Differentiator:Since opening the first clinic 50 years ago in Nashville, Tenn., our Dialysis Clinic, Inc. family has grown to be the nation’s largest nonprofit dialysis provider with more than 270 locations in 30 states, serving nearly 14,000 patients each day.
