View the comprehensive information about the competitive benefits package on our careers page then scroll down to CENTERS Benefits (click link to view).Primary Responsibilities:[To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform primary and administrative responsibilities satisfactorily.]Greet all members and guests who enter the facility, ensuring proper identification is usedCommunicate and enforce all policies and procedures to patrons in regards to access control, sales, and registrationsBe knowledgeable about programs and services offered by University of Recreation & Wellbeing in order to communicate all policies and procedures to patrons and guests and answer questions they may have about our facility, memberships, or programs and servicesProvide tours to current and prospective members of the Recreation CenterContinually monitor and maintain cleanliness of entire facility, including, but not limited to, lobby, fitness spaces, equipment, locker rooms, and restroomsUnderstand and demonstrate competencies in department Emergency Action PlanEnsure facility laundry is completed throughout the daySetup/Breakdown for rentals and special eventsOther duties as assignedEquipment Issue:Issue equipment through Rec AutomationProperly check patron,member, and student access through Rec AutomationDocument all access control and system issuesRelay pop-up messages to members and troubleshoot accordinglyAdministrative Responsibilities:Attend staff meetings and trainings hosted by University of Recreation & WellbeingCheck email on a regular basis for communication amongst Operations staffMaintain lost and found database documenting items found within the Recreation Center and inquiries from patrons regarding lost itemsAbility and willingness to enforce policies and handle conflictStrong customer service skills and basic knowledge of computer skillsAbility to handle several tasks at once with frequent interruptionAbility to be certified as a CPR/AED/FA Professional Rescuer through the American Red CrossWork Environment:Office environment/fitness center environmentModerate to loud noisePhysical Demands:Standing or walkingRepetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement (while operating computer equipment)Occasional bending, stoopingEye-hand coordination (keyboard typing)Hearing and talkingOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
