We are searching for aShipping & Receiving Associateto join our team located at our fast-paced manufacturing plant in Tamaqua, PA.Your Role:As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for the receiving and processing of all items brought in through the shipping department. This includes, but is not limited to, packaging, parts, production supplies, and other items that support the production floor. Other duties include providing administrative assistance to production department and the production support team as needed. You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!Shipping and Receiving ResponsibilitiesSchedule pickup & delivery appointments for inbound and outbound shipments and maintain visual board of all inbound and outboard loads.Create and print shipping/receiving documents for customer and miscellaneous shipment.Process customer orders for miscellaneous material (scrap, RPP, samples, etc.).Answer incoming phone calls, provide directions, check drivers in for pickups/deliveries.Maintain storage trailer logs.Provide direction to shipping/receiving teams.Accumulate and send shipping records to corporate office.Make appropriate adjustments and reversals for receipts.Assist Accounting with open PO reports.Monitor monthly receiving for accrual purposes.Assist with audit requests.Perform cycle count.General ResponsibilitiesObserve all company mandated safety rules and use proper safety equipment at all times. Notifies appropriate personnel of real or potential safety hazards or violations and takes immediate corrective action when necessary.Provides accurate record keeping and neatly complete all required paperwork.May assist management in special projects within the scope of their position or other areas of the facility as deemed necessary by management.Ultimately, you willplay a vital role to ensure that we are producing excellent quality products in a safe and efficient environment.
