Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), internally referred to as our Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Therapist. As our Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you are responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.Shift’s Available: DaysEmployment Type: Per Diem (PD / PRN)Hours: 8-hour shift: 8a - 4:30p (hours can be flexible)Location: St. Mary'sMedical Center - Blue Springs, MOHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Competitive compensationMedical insurance benefit plan401KSick leave accrualEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Conduct communication assessments and provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in acute and medically complex settingsProvide cognitive-communication therapy targeting attention, memory, executive function, and problem-solving in patients with neurological conditionsEducate patients and caregivers on safe swallowing, communication strategies, and appropriate use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems to support functional outcomesTreat patients across ICU, Inpatient Rehab, NICU, and Pediatrics, addressing feeding, swallowing, congenital, critical care and other communication needsEnhance quality of life and safety by supporting safe oral intake, restoring communication, and promoting cognitive-linguistic recoveryEducation and Work ExperienceBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
