KCI is currently ranked #53 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 500 design firms in the nation.KCI BENEFITS INFORMATIONWe offer a competitive compensation package, family friendly benefits, a collaborative working environment, and the training, mentoring and resources you need to advance in your career.We understand that you have choices, and we know that together we will make a great team!KCI is committed to building a diverse and inclusive staff, and we encourage women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities to apply.Our CEI Practice is growing - we have an immediate need for a CEI Project Administrator.DUTIES, ABILITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & OTHER:Ability to: Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)Responsible for: Receiving general instructions regarding assignments and exercising initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.Responsible for: Directing and assigning specific tasks to administrative and field staff and assisting in all phases of the construction project, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems.Responsible for: Progress estimates and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPrepare construction inspection summaries of daily activitiesReview drawings, specifications, and other contract documents for constructability (plans, specs, shop drawings)Review detailed records of the contractor’s daily operations including manpower, equipment, construction methods, and events that affect the workTrack / measure completed work quantities for paymentManage the team of inspectors, coordinate their schedules and oversee their work and recordsCoordinate and communicate material testing requirements on the project. Oversee and accept project sampling and testing of component materials and completed workMonitor work zone traffic control plan and identify discrepancies and potential issuesMonitor the erosion control plan and identify discrepancies and potential issuesVerify the dimensions and calculations of prepared and completed workAnalyze complex construction/design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures and consults with design engineering personnelInform Client on project issues and provide them with recommendationsInteract with Project Managers and clients in a proactive manner to determine what routine issues affecting project management need to be addressedMaintain construction project records in accordance with GDOT and project specific proceduresInterface proactively with the project managers, contractors, and inspection staff on various facets of the project including review of contract plans and documents, day-to-day construction activities and review of contractors’ submittalsPerform/oversee the review of daily inspection reports and quantity computationsDirects and assigns specific tasks to inspectors and assists in all phases of the construction projectResponsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project durationEnsure timely completion of time sheets and expense reportsTake ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goalsBachelor's degree from anaccredited university is preferred.Minimum of 5 - 9 years of experience required.Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.Complete Annual Individual Training ProgramComply with all KCI policies and proceduresEnsure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirementsEstablish strong working relationship with client, contractors, and design engineersAchieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization targetComplete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scopeOperate within specified (corporate or project) budget parametersAssist in negotiating contractor change ordersMaintain document control for correspondence, RFIs, submittals, etc. Oversee project schedule and budgetPrepare and analyze schedulesPrepare cost estimatesRead plans and specifications and understand the construction contractor's means and methodsSolve construction problems in the fieldTest, document, and assure quality of contractor's workKCI Technologies, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
