Join us to be part of a dynamic team where your contributions will make a significant impact.We are seeking askilled and self-motivated Field Service Technicianto perform high-quality preventive maintenance and repairs, with a primary focus onheavy construction equipmentand company vehicles. This role involves bothin-shop and field service work, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely.Diagnose, inspect, and perform repairson diesel and gasoline engines, as well as other heavy machinery such as pavers, millers, rollers, and skid steers.Conduct scheduled maintenanceto prevent breakdowns and ensure equipment longevity.Handle complex and major repairson hydraulic, electrical, fuel, transmission, exhaust, and brake systems.Perform field service callswith efficiency and urgency, completing repairs at job sites as needed.Maintain clear communicationwith the Shop Foreman regarding equipment status, required repairs, and parts needed.Document work performeddaily through work orders (paper or electronic)Our Ideal CandidateSelf-motivatedand able to work independently without constant supervision.Skilled indiagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues.Experienced in exhaust systems, fuel systems, drivelines, differentials, hubs, and all other components of equipment on pavers, millers, rollers, and skid steers.Proficient in reading and comprehendingservice manuals, technical bulletins, schematics, and diagrams(hydraulic/electrical).Comfortable usingtechnologysuch as laptops and tablets for diagnostics and documentation.Owns aset of toolsrequired for the job.Holds avalid driver’s license.5+ yearsof heavy-duty diesel or automotive mechanic experience.Experience usingdiagnostic scan tools.Trade school certificationin a related field.Stable work historydemonstrating reliability and expertise.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
