Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Richardson, Texas. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and reporting while advancing your career. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting accurate financial recordkeeping. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks to ensure accuracy and compliance. u2022 Prepare and analyze key financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. u2022 Process payroll transactions and verify wage and tax reporting for accuracy. u2022 Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments. u2022 Create and post journal entries, accruals, and other necessary adjustments. u2022 Generate ad-hoc financial reports and provide detailed analyses to support management decisions. u2022 Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies in all financial activities. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. u2022 Manage corporate tax filings and sales tax reporting to meet compliance requirements. u2022 Support audits and provide documentation as needed. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. u2022 Proven experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks software is required. u2022 Strong understanding of corporate tax, sales tax, and financial reporting. u2022 Experience with payroll processing and related compliance. u2022 Demonstrated ability to prepare journal entries and manage general ledger activities. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial tools is a plus.
