Job Description u2022u2003Work in a collaborative and supportive environment; each physician is paired with a nurse and a medical assistant. u2022u2003Assist with care for 18-22 patients per day. u2022u2003Responsible for chart preparation with support from APPs or nurses. u2022u2003Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment areas. u2022u2003Record patient data prior to physician visits, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updates. u2022u2003Retrieve necessary patient records prior to treatment or procedures. u2022u2003Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms; manage supply inventory. u2022u2003Assist physicians during exams and procedures. u2022u2003Occasionally administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by RN or physician. u2022u2003Maintain disinfection protocols for all exam/treatment rooms. u2022u2003Answer patient phone calls and direct inquiries to appropriate clinical staff. u2022u2003Call in prescriptions and make patient follow-up calls as directed. u2022u2003Notify physicians of patient reschedules and no-shows. u2022u2003Perform administrative tasks such as typing, filing, faxing, chart prep, and reception duties as needed. u2022u2003May enter orders under the direction and supervision of a provider.
