Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Chatsworth, California. This role is pivotal in managing advanced accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and providing analytical support to guide decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and the oversight of critical accounting functions. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting. u2022 Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies. u2022 Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews. u2022 Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to deliver actionable insights to leadership. u2022 Develop and refine financial models to support strategic planning and business initiatives. u2022 Implement and maintain robust internal controls to protect assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data. u2022 Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced accounting staff, encouraging growth and performance. u2022 Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure smooth audits and tax compliance. u2022 Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvements. u2022 Assist the Finance Director with specialized financial analyses and ad hoc projects. Requirements u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership or supervisory roles. u2022 Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards. u2022 Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is preferred. u2022 Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and financial modeling. u2022 Exceptional analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. u2022 Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment. u2022 Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
