Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Newark, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial transactions. This position requires a high level of accuracy and organizational skills to support efficient financial operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and accurately code invoices to ensure proper documentation and timely payment. u2022 Manage weekly check runs while maintaining compliance with company policies. u2022 Verify and reconcile invoices against purchase orders and other financial records. u2022 Handle the processing of approximately 100 invoices per week with precision and efficiency. u2022 Utilize the Viewpoint Vista system to manage accounts payable tasks effectively. u2022 Monitor accounts payable aging reports and address any discrepancies promptly. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice-related issues and ensure smooth workflows. u2022 Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions for auditing purposes. u2022 Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. u2022 Strong proficiency in coding invoices and managing check runs. u2022 Familiarity with Viewpoint Vista or similar financial software. u2022 Ability to process high volumes of invoices with accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Excellent organizational and time management skills. u2022 Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors. u2022 Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
