Trust and Estate Paralegal

Description We are looking for a skilled Trust and Estate Paralegal to join our team in Orinda, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting attorneys with estate planning, trust administration, and litigation matters. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. Responsibilities: u2022 Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills and trusts. u2022 Support litigation efforts related to trust disputes and estate matters by managing discovery processes and preparing case files. u2022 Coordinate and manage trust administration tasks, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. u2022 Serve as a licensed Notary Public to notarize essential legal documents as needed. u2022 Conduct legal research to provide accurate information and recommendations to attorneys. u2022 Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible. u2022 Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress. u2022 Collaborate with the legal team to prepare for hearings, trials, and other court proceedings. u2022 Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of required filings and documentation. u2022 Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient workflows for estate planning and litigation processes. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on trust and estate matters. u2022 Proficiency in managing discovery processes and supporting litigation efforts. u2022 Strong knowledge of estate planning and trust administration procedures. u2022 Licensed Notary Public with the ability to notarize legal documents. u2022 Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members. u2022 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment. u2022 Proficiency in legal research and understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
