As part of Jacobu2019s Operations Management & Facilities Services (OMFS) Group, the Regional Maintenance Specialist will assume a leading role supporting maintenance and asset management efforts at all projects within the this role, you'll be responsible for the following: Facilitate maintenance knowledge sharing between projects in the region and the company as a whole, related to technical support for mechanical, electrical, I&C and PdM support Support optimization of treatment facilities maintenance within the region through benchmarking and key performance indicator analysis Evaluate the projectsu2019 maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and provide input for possible improvements Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, plans, specifications, and mechanical illustrations Perform skilled mechanical repair work on industrial water/wastewater treatment plant and related equipment; and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical machinery or equipment. Assist projects in set-up and training for predictive maintenance programs (vibration, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, etc.) Conduct condition assessments on project vertical assets and document assessments in the ACES software program Prepare, consult on, or review maintenance cost estimates and level of effort; and perform ongoing project reviews to determine client satisfaction with past service and develop recommendations on the need for future service. US Military training is acceptableu2022 Experience with Instrumentation & Controlsu2022 Experience with electrical systems, troubleshooting/ repairu2022 Proficient in the use of CMMS software (example, Maximo, Maintenance Connection, SAP)u2022 Highly proficient in the use of spreadsheet and/or database computer programsu2022 Experience and understanding of budget preparation and financial accountabilityu2022 Ability to travel approximately 75%-85%u2022 Physical ability to walk project sites and work outdoors under varying weather conditionsu2022 Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamu2022 Valid US driveru2019s license with no major infractionsIdeally, Youu2019ll Also Have:u2022 Comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of industrial equipment maintenance and extensive knowledge of methods to reduce operating costs, improve reliability, and ensure permit complianceu2022 Water and/or wastewater equipment maintenance experience is a plusWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements:The work area can involve a working environment indoors, as well as, outdoors which could cause exposure to outdoor elements; proper environmental attire will be required. Some areas can have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, pathogens and various chemicals. Safety is of the utmost importance. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, twist and bend at the waist, turn, kneel, squat, raise arms above shoulder height, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements and fine coordination when preparing reports and using a computer keyboard, have vision sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents and operate office equipment, have hearing in the normal range with or without correction.
