Adecco is hiring immediately for a Vehicle Accounting Contractor with a local client in Fountain Valley, CA Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below + Pay: $32.00 - $60.00/hr + Shift/Hours: Onsite u2013 Monday u2013 Friday 8:00am u2013 5:00pm Responsibilities: u00b7 Manage the parts and warranty accounting functions, including planning, organizing, training and evaluating the work of all personnel reporting to the position. u00b7 Design and implement procedures for parts cost accounting, including the conversion of present system to AS400. u00b7 Manage the preparation of internal and Korean financial statements for Parts Accounting. u00b7 Establish procedures for processing warranty claims; monitor such claims as received and coordinate dealer reimbursement from HMA and HMA reimbursement from HMC. u00b7 Manage and control parts accounts receivable interface to SAP system. u00b7 Participate in the monthly closing schedules including the preparation of required journal entries and reconciliation of the detail records to the general ledger control accounts. u00b7 Monitor the dual standard cost for parts as required from time to time. Provide feedback to parts department of any deviation; work with parts department and Mobis for any inventory purchase variance. u00b7 Report and analyze cost variances related to parts shipments received from vendors, including domestic suppliers for drop shipments; work with parts department for resolution to variances. u00b7 Present monthly operating results to Parts Department managers. u00b7 Responsible for the timely and accurate recording and reporting of all part sales and cost of sales transactions; ensure all interfaced records are reconciled and accounted. Provide meaningful information and analysis for management decision purposes. u00b7 Perform other related duties as opportunities arise. u00b7 Prepare monthly journal entries and participate in month-end closing activities including SAP system transaction processing, preparation of internal and external financial schedules. u00b7 Ensure monthly account reconciliations are complete in a timely manner; identify issues and ensure discrepancies are resolved timely. u00b7 Analyze vehicle sales, cost and gross margin variances as assigned. Adapt and improve upon existing vehicle sales, cost and margin analysis reports to meet changing business needs as required. u00b7 Participate in the timely preparation and accuracy of vehicle sales, cost and margin related reports including KFIN, Allocated P&L by Channel/Series, M2M Margin reviews, and other similar reports as required. u00b7 Support KPMG quarterly/year-end audits by providing PBC schedules, flux analysis and audit information requests in accordance with reporting timetables. u00b7 Establish and maintain consistency among PBC reporting schedules over varying audit periods; identify and streamline data schedules eliminating unnecessary data elements. u00b7 Assist in monthly, quarterly and yearly audits and reconciliation of affiliate transactions. u00b7 Develop / maintain policies and procedures for parts accounting activities as needed, including process automation, where appropriate. Coordinate with parts and HAEA personal system changes. u00b7 Support systems/projects implementations including Finance requirements and User Acceptance Testing. u00b7 Ensure all interfaces from AS400 for vendors payment are accurate and reconciled on a monthly basis. u00b7 Performs review and finance approval of accounts payable accounting documents up to delegated amounts (currently $5,000). u00b7 Submits ITSM request to correct system issues and/or performance improvements as required. Required Qualifications: + Must be a high school graduate + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred + Masteru2019s degree a plus + Seven to ten years of experience of which at least five years of directly related experience in finance + Two to three years of supervisory experience desired. + Thorough knowledge of general and cost accounting methods and principles, including data processing applications (particularly perpetual inventory systems and Microsoft Excel) + Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to formally present financial information relative to parts sales and cost of sales + Possess considerable working knowledge of Excel spreadsheet program and utilize software to automate reporting requirements + Working knowledge of QMF query language and Access database methods. + Working knowledge of inventory control + Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically Pay Details: $32.00 to $60.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
