Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in New York, New York. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage key financial processes and contribute to the organization's operational efficiency. The role will start with a focus on client collections and gradually expand to include comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee client collections to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. u2022 Record vendor payments efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements. u2022 Manage B2B collections to optimize the company's accounts receivable. u2022 Transition into broader bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining financial records and preparing reports. u2022 Assist with month-end closing activities to finalize financial statements. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to streamline financial processes. u2022 Support payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. u2022 Analyze financial data using Excel formulas to generate insights and reports. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas. u2022 Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and financial recordkeeping. u2022 Familiarity with B2B collections and client payment processes. u2022 Ability to handle month-end close procedures and generate financial reports. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Solid data entry skills for accurate financial documentation. u2022 Knowledge of payroll processes and compliance standards.
