Project Manager 2 (NY HELPS)

Duties Description:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:u2022 Coordinate the planning, execution, and closure of capital improvement project involving ITS Infrastructure, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.u2022 Serve as the primary point of contact among ITS Infrastructure, and other stakeholders, facilitating timely communication and issue resolution.u2022 Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to ensure milestones are met and deliverables are of high quality.u2022 Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays and cost overruns.u2022 Organize regular status meetings, reporting, and documentation to keep leadership and stakeholders informed and engaged.Minimum Qualifications:u2022Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; ORu2022One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but arenu2019t limited to: Administrative Specialist 2, Business Systems Analyst 2, Information Technology Specialist 3; ORu2022A bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in project management which must include planning and at least three other of the management process groups: origination (including governance/work intake, portfolio management, capacity/demand planning); initiating; executing; controlling; and closing. This experience must include the development of project management deliverables, such as scope statements, schedules, budgets, quality plans, risk plans, and communication plans; ORu2022A Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience. Current certification from the from the Project Management Institute as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) may substitute for two years of experience or a Project Management Professional (PMP) may substitute for three years of experience.Please be advised that the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) does not offer sponsorship for employment visas to employees or potential employees.
