About the Role At Twitch, we're reimagining how Corporate Accounting operates in the digital age, leveraging new technology, automation, and AI to build scalable financial processes that support our business. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. In this role, you'll be at the intersection of accounting and technology, driving critical month-end processes, financial reporting, and system integrations across our complex ecosystem within Amazon. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and offers unique exposure to both the dynamic world of digital entertainment and the sophisticated financial operations of a global tech company. You can work from San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Irvine, CA; or Seattle, WA. You Will - Perform monthly and quarterly close activities in key ownership areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, GL account management, fluctuation analyses, and key performance metrics. - Manage the close calendar and prepare consolidated financial reporting packages for leadership, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables against established deadlines. - Facilitate ledger closure and reconciliation of trial balance data between Twitch and Amazon accounting systems. - Drive standardization of accounting documentation across Controllership by developing templates, establishing guidelines, and implementing best practices for knowledge management. - Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in processes or systems, taking initiative and ownership to implement solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Controllership, Tax, Finance, G&A businesses, FinTech, Amazon Accounting) to understand upstream and downstream impacts and ensure accuracy of financial data. - Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other team members as needed. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
