Develop, monitor, and update behavior modification programs utilizing principles of ABA and aspects of behavior management within the confines of ACS policyProvide ongoing training to support childcare workers with implementing behavioral intervention strategies and in carrying out person-centered planningMentor and encourage childcare workers using the framework of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, a behavior management training provided to staff at all levelsParticipate in all program planning meetings and case reviews to discuss treatment plan goals, behavioral strategies and objectives, review assessments and behavioral observationsComplete and present reports to team members reflecting behavioral progressProvide therapeutic consultation to children in careCollaborate with educational psychology team at the on-campus school to coordinate optimal behavior programming across settingsKeep psychiatric providers updated with behavioral progress to ensure effective psychopharmacological therapy and in turn an optimal care planProvide support to childcare workers in emergency circumstances and as neededAttend trainings and seminars to continuously enhance knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities, as well as SCO, ACS and OCFS policy and procedureMaintain case notes and records in accordance with program requirementsOngoing collaboration with agency-wide behavioral health servicesPerform all other duties as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director of Behavioral Health ServicesQualificationsMaster's Degree in Psychology from an accredited college or universityMinimum of one year experience working with the intellectually disabled populationMust possess well developed communication skills, both written and verbalMust be proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to work effectively and collaboratively with team membersMaintain high levels of quality of work and productivityIdeal candidate will be flexible with working hours and demonstrate reliability in relation to attendance and punctualityBenefitsSupervised hours by an LBA will be provided at no charge for candidates working toward their RBT, BCaBA, BCBA or licensureA full week of training will be provided to certify new employees in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (the behavior management curriculum utilized) and CPRTwo days of new hire orientation is provided to acclimate candidates to SCO Family of ServicesJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $58,500.00 per yearDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftEvening shiftMonday to FridayWeekends as neededWork Location: In person
