Solder Assembler

Masterite Division of DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc. is seeking experienced Solder Assemblers with the following qualifications: SUMMARY OF POSITION: With supervision prepare and solders electronic components onto Printer Circuit Boards (PCBs) according to specifications. Key Performance Indictors: List two to five measurable tasks that are key to indicating the performance level in this role: u2022 Perform basic SMT and thru hole hand component soldering per IPC-610 Class 3, J-Std-001 u2022 Operate hand and/or automatic tools safely. u2022 Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and soldering stations on PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly. u2022 Work with leaded and lead- free solder. u2022 Basic ability to read PCB assembly drawings and related documents; ECN's, assembly instructions. u2022 Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools. u2022 Basic understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components. u2022 Maintains department specific records. u2022 Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications and Experience: u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent u2022 2+yrs Soldering experience - must have fine pitch and through microscope. (Need to pass Soldering test) u2022 Soldering multiple components on a circuit board. u2022 Requires excellent speed and accuracy u2022 Familiarity with ovens, hot plates, hot air pencil, etc. u2022 Soldering Experience per IPC-610 Class 3, J-Std-001. u2022 Ability to Read & Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, Traveler/Routers, Bills of Material & Wire Lists. u2022 Able to use a microscope to solder for extended periods u2022 Dexterity, steady hand to manipulate and position extremely small devices. u2022 Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions and be detailed oriented. u2022 Maintain a clean, safe well organized work-station through routine housekeeping. u2022 Normal work time spent indoors u2022 A neat and tidy personal appearance must be maintained; u2022 Occasional periods of high levels of physical exertion needed, this includes heavy lifting (50+ lb.), walking, bending, pushing large loads, carrying, stooping, reaching, etc. DCX-CHOL Enterprises is a privately held American owned Small Business.
