JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: At Westphal & Co., Inc., we are seeking ahighly skilled and proactive Project Manager to oversee electricalconstruction projects from initial bid through to final completion. TheProject Manager will play a vital role in increasing efficiency andprofitability throughout the project lifecycle. As the main liaisonbetween the company and clients, the Project Manager is also the primarysupport for field forces. This role requires balancing time in bothoffice settings and on-site locations to ensure successful projectexecution. Our applications and resume submissions are carefullyreviewed and vetted by a real person, without the use of AI or automatedtechnology. Each submission receives personalized attention to ensure athorough and thoughtful evaluation. Key Responsibilities: Estimating &Cost Control: Estimate projects across a variety of delivery methods:Plans and Specification, Design Build, and Conceptual Estimating.Perform quantity takeoffs, request and evaluate major equipment andsubcontractor quotes. Review pricing and cost-effective constructionmethods to be included in future estimates. Secure favorable materialand equipment quotations. Become proficient with the company'sestimating software and verify calculations to finalize proposals.Utilize company proprietary labor and material databases duringestimates. Project Management: Oversee the pre-construction process,understanding and complying with the project's contractualrequirements. Maximize project profitability and negotiatematerial/equipment purchases. Collaborate with project foreman to layout, plan, and schedule work to create optimal value. Handle allproject-related correspondence and assist with managing projectpersonnel. Monitor project productivity, profitability, and takecorrective actions as necessary. Attend and actively participate inproject meetings. Ensure the proper allocation of manpower, equipment,and tools. Advise and manage monthly billings, including monthly jobcost projections to ensure accurate WIP (Work In Progress).Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of two years of project managementexperience in construction. Experience in electrical industry a plus.Strong written communication skills and professional telephoneetiquette. Excellent problem-solving abilities and independentdecision-making skills. Ability to communicate effectively and developpositive relationships with: Electricians Architectural and Engineeringfirms General Contractors Clients Team members Ambitious with a drivefor personal and professional success. High ethical standards,integrity, and honesty. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and teamcollaboration. Excellent listening skills with assertiveness andconfidence in representing the company.
