Description The OpsSWE Team is a part of the Operations Engineering team and is responsible for ensuring the next generation of Apple products can be delivered in a way that continues to delight our customers.The OpsSWE Team is seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in Systems Test. In this position, the Systems Test Engineer will be responsible for testing, monitoring, and sustaining software solutions. Responsibilities will include: Responsibilities + Design and architect automation platforms + Designing test plans and defining test strategies. + Building, enhancing, and maintaining test automation systems. + Enhancing and maintaining build and release systems. + Modifying and executing tests for validation of hardware and software features. + Collaborating with Electrical and Mechanical engineers to root cause and resolve issues. + Providing test reports to engineering, operations, and management. Minimum Qualifications + Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies & practices. + Proficiency in one programming language ideally Python and/or Java + A strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI capabilities + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent Preferred Qualifications + Experience working in factory test environments or production validation for hardware/software testing. + Meticulous, analytical, methodical, and creative problem-solving ability with a commitment to driving quality forward. + Ability to triage problems, prioritize tasks, and report findings clearly. + Minimum of 5 years of industry experience, ideally in quality assurance, with software automation design and development + Understanding of networking and operating system concepts. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. + Experience developing simulation tools for performance and scale testing + This role may require up to 25% travel, including international trips to manufacturing sites and engineering teams. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Appleu2019s discretionary employee stock programs.
