As a Model Owner Manager within PNC's Technology Group, you will be based in Pittsburgh-PA, Strongsville-OH, Phoenix, AZ, Birmingham-AL or Dallas, Texas. Job Description u2013 Model Owner u2022 Oversees the development, testing, and validation of quantitative models (machine learning and statistical) used for detecting and deterring fraud. Conducts robust and comprehensive model testing, model monitoring, defect resolution, and analysis in accordance with model development lifecycle standards. u2022 Conducts ongoing communication and support for model users, including downstream model owners, and others who use the models for purposes of anti-money laundering, fraud detection and deterrence, and other uses. u2022 Directs complex qualitative and quantitative assessments of all aspects of models including theoretical aspects, model design and implementation as well as data quality and integrity. Confirms the reviews of complex reports including model documentation, model monitoring, QC findings, and model controls. u2022 Leads in evaluating identified model risks, defects, and issues, and reaches conclusions on strengths and limitations of the model. Works toward resolution and enhancement related to model shortcomings. u2022 Conducts ongoing communication with oversight, validation, risk management, internal audit, external audit, and regulatory compliance partners. This communication includes written responses to questions, formalized documentation of findings, and presentations to appropriate committees, working groups and other parties. u2022 Provides leadership, direction, and oversight to model developers who support the ongoing maintenance, management, and validation of the models. u2022 Provides coaching, training, direction, and best practices to the modeling team. u2022 Can manage the work-sets of multiple model developers in remote locations, including offshore. u2022 Solves business problems using a structured, analytically rigorous approach, and synthesize results for presentation to less technical audiences (model users and senior management) u2022 Solid understanding of probability, linear algebra and statistical modeling u2022 Proficiency with R or Python, and Hadoop, is required. u2022 Proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets is required. u2022 Proficiency with Trillium and/or Tableau is desirable but not required. u2022 Knowledge of data management is desired but not required. Job Description + Leads the implementation of analytical projects that leverage vast amounts of structured and unstructured data to extract actionable business insights. + Directs the data gathering, data processing and data mining of large and complex datasets. + Leads the development of algorithms using advanced mathematical and statistical techniques like machine learning to predict business outcomes and recommend optimal actions to management. + Leads analytical experiments in a methodical manner to find opportunities for product and process optimization. Presents business insights to management using visualization technologies and data storytelling. + Partners with Data Architects, Data Analysts, Data Engineers and Visualization Experts to develop data-driven solutions for the business. Education Masters Certifications No Required Certification(s) Licenses No Required License(s) Pay Transparency Base Salary: $122,245.00 u2013 $165,370.00 Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
