Provided efficient service as well as casual conversation to build a regular customer base. Qualifications: Duties & Functions u2022 Knows all drink recipes, wines by the glass, and menu and prices to effectively promote to guests. u2022 Performs duties in accordance with established company policies for drink size, recipe, and proper glassware. u2022 Knowledge of classic cocktails, as well as a execute a rotating list of cocktail specials u2022 Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures u2022 Handle cash transactions in accordance with the propertyu2019s cash handling policy u2022 Maintains current knowledge of hotel culture, amenities, and services, events in the area, points of interest, and services in the area u2022 Performs complete bar setup, including ice, garnish, glassware, etc. u2022 Works as part of a team u2022 Portrays a positive and professional attitude u2022 Provides prompt, professional, friendly, and personalized service to our guests u2022 Provides help and support to all fellow colleagues u2022 Communicates to FOH and BOH support staff including managers and chefs u2022 Learns from and teaches fellow colleagues (learn by listening, lead by example) u2022 Performs opening side work and set up station u2022 Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings u2022 Always smiles and greets guests warmly and genuinely u2022 Provides professional and exceptional food and beverage service u2022 Records and places proper food and beverage orders in POS u2022 Delivers food and beverages to guests u2022 Listens to guests and anticipates their needs u2022 Responds to guestsu2019 questions and their needs u2022 Proper serving of wine and alcohol (with awareness) u2022 Presentations and reconciliation of checks u2022 Collects cash from guests/performs credit card authorizations and services u2022 Properly executes closing procedures u2022 Runs POS daily server financial report u2022 Completes closing financial paperwork u2022 Completes closing side work for specific table sections u2022 Re-stocks bar u2022 All other tasks and duties as assigned Qualifications & Standards u2022 1-2 years of beverage knowledge u2022 Previous hospitality experience preferred u2022 Experience in a high volume restaurant is a must Requires knowledge, skill and mental ability equivalent to completion of 2 years of high school u2022 Must have a working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and latest in mixology. u2022 Requires basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a cash register or POS system. u2022 Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit as required by local or state government agency.
