You will protect and promote the interests of both Gilbane and the client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader.Assists with the bid list for a project including creation, outreach, and interest generationAssists in processing bid documents to ensure compliance with contract requirements from Project Manual through bid supplementsParticipates in pre-bid conferences; attends scope review meetings and write minutesAssists with preparing and entering contracts to ensure compliance with contract and project requirementsAssists in tracking and monitoring the Diverse Owned Small Business (DOSB) utilization process and identify risk areasAssists in maintaining Purchase and Award ScheduleEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar technical field1-3 years of purchasing and/or construction experienceOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and company platformsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and outside representativesAbility to comprehend drawings, specifications, scopes of work, bids, and all other part of a bid packageAbility to maintain procurement records and reportsSalary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.ForConnecticut, this ranges from $67,100.00-$83,800.00 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
