IT Production Support Technician

Under direct supervision, this position provides operational support for production floor applications, panel PCs, and associated hardware. Supported systems include production systems and all related devices such as panel PCs, scanners, printers, and other IT equipment. Responsibilities include installation, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and software on the production floor. This role also encompasses PC technician duties and inventory management for all production-related IT assets.Work Schedule:This is a shift-based position operating on a 2-2-3 schedule. The 2-2-3 schedule is a rotating shift pattern that typically follows this format:Work 2 days,Off 2 days,Work 3 days,Then the cycle repeats.This schedule allows for every other weekend off and provides a balanced distribution of workdays and rest days over a two-week period. Shifts may include days, nights, or weekends depending on operational needs.Works with SEEDS panel pc applicationsEvaluates, installs, and supports production IT hardware including panel pc, printers, and scannersWorks in a help desk environment fielding and resolving calls from production floorProgressively learn basic theory of in-house proprietary Yokohama software systems to provide daily support to production floorProduction floor equipment hardware inventory for ITPreferred Ability to troubleshoot production floor equipment - Hands on Training will be provided.Ability to monitor and recognize deviations from normal processingFamiliar with basic computer hardware and software. Ability to coordinate maintenance functions with plant.Must be capable of placing service calls and shipping broken equipment for repair as neededAbility to communicate well with others and work in team environmentHigh School Diploma RequiredEntry Level/Basic knowledge of PC and HardwareReading flow charts and diagramsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively in both speaking and writing.Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
